The Institute for Private Investors (IPI) is the preeminent global membership network for families of substantial wealth.

The Problem

IPI provides a safe haven for investors to communicate with each other, and their advisors about their wealth management approach. IPI requires that their internal IT network be secured, supported, and properly maintained to be able to continually provide its 1,100 members its educational platform and peer to peer network resources. Security is a major concern for IPI and it required working with an IT Services provider they could trust to create a secure environment for their employees and its members.

IPI required Xperteks® to ensure their network was secured from and safeguarded from any intrusions on their network. IPI also required ensuring that their backups were being monitored and secured in an automated system that required minimal human intervention. This also included upgrading their workstations and securing them with systems to prevent them from getting spyware, viruses or any malware that can compromise the security of their network.

Xperteks® created a custom managed service program that included all the security services and support maintenance that IPI required. Included in their package was our managed enterprise end-point security software powered by Sophos. Along with server-based, employee authentication methods, Xperteks® ensured that all workstations had the defense mechanisms required to protect them from any unauthorized user or harmful software. Xperteks® also implemented a backup system that was able to backup all their essential business documents in a secure, fully automated way. Lastly, Xperteks® configured, administers and monitors all of IPI’s IT perimeter and secures it so that only authorized personnel can access their network.
